Description of object

The house was built in 1826 and has a huge wine cellar. The rooms are cosy and much of the furniture is antique. Heating is by wood-burning tile stoves. The kitchen and bathroom were modernised in spring 2007. The house has a tranquil courtyard, a secluded sun terrace and a pleasant shaded garden.

The house is located in the centre of the village, three minutes from the railway station, one minute from a 7-11 shop and five minutes from a well-stocked supermarket and restaurant.

Kismaros is the perfect centre for exploring the scenic Danube Bend region. There is a narrow-gauge railway up to the hills and a ferry to an island on the Danube. The village has a good supermarket and an excellent restaurant. Despite its rural location, Kismaros is only 35 minutes from the centre of Budapest by train.
