Location of objectThe cabin is located in a quiet area 1 km (10 minute walk) from ski area, hotel and restaurants.
Town: Finland, Suomutunturi, KemijarviThe Suomutunturi ski- and holiday resort is situated in East Lapland only 43 km from Kemijärvi, the northernmost town in Finland. The Arctic Circle runs right thru the resort. The altitude of Suomutunturi-fell is 408 m above sea lewel.
MAIN ACTIVITIES in summer hiking, fishing, nature, canoe or rowing. Wast wilderness surrounds the resort. In autumn mushroom picking, hunting and of course hiking. In winter down hill and cross country skiing, excellent tree riding on skis, snow mobiles, reindeer and dog team rides, ice fishing. LOTS OF SNOW fo all purposes. Northern lights to be seen during autumn and winter.
Suomutunturi is easily accessible by train, car and plane. The car ride from Kuusamo and Rovaniemi airports is approximately one hour, Kemijärvi railrway station is only half an hour away.
During summerseason a car is recommended while services at the resort are only partly open in summer.
