Description of objectThe White House was designed by architect Rihan Peruma and comprises two fully equipped villas with their own private pools on the edge of the lake. Opened in 2008 the emphasis is on chic modern design, airy spaces and bold use of light and colour. The main atrium and dining room has a Conranesque feel to it – high ceilings and natural air flow keeps the villa cool sustained by the natural cement floors. The indoor gardens, contemporary furniture , brightly coloured fabrics and polished concrete floors create an environment which is a joy to encounter.
The house has 3 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, a comfortable living room, large dining room, and well equipped kitchen. A patio area adjoins the kitchen making al fresco dining a joy. Outdoor living is an option on the rooftop area and also on the verandah adjoining the garden
The lake can be reached at the foot of the gardens just beyond the 30x 15ft pool. Picture windows facing the lake give an uninterrupted view of magnificent sunsets from your armchair- or four poster bed.
