During the days you can enjoy your time on the fresh air, in the evening a fireplace in the living room will tender and gently pamper your soul. On the second floor bedrooms are spacious. Pleasant ambience and mountain air help achieve deeper sleep and thus sweet dreams.In the main living room there is a big kitchen area as well, that offers all the opportunities for culinary specialties made on the stove or in the oven. Town: Slovenia, Gozd Martuljek, Gozd MartuljekGOZD MARTULJEKGozd Martuljek is a story of Nature on its own. A picturesque alpine village full of little brooks who fill the valley with pure fertility. One water source, the Hladnik brook, which springs in the Karavanke runs through a narrow gorge and then through the village. Another brook named Martuljek with its two waterfalls and unspoiled wild nature. In hidden gorges we are greeted by thunder of the waterfalls in near by valley by still lakes. No wonder once shephards from Koro男a used to breed their cattle on this rich landscape of Gozd Martuljek.Traditional village of Gozd Martuljek with breathtaking views on the Martuljek range of mountains, which extend to unimaginable distances and just a step away from the river Sava Dolinka simply lures everyone who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the typical everyday life. This outstanding Alpine landscape offers numerous leisure time activities. Walking, merry mountering adventures, bike tours, horse riding, rafting canyonig, paragliding, winter joys, fishing and as well as many other activities can liven up your days in every season. MARTULJEK WATERFALLS The Martuljek stream flows from the amphitheatre beneath Mt. 如ik (2472m). As already mentioned has two waterfalls. Two well marked trail lead to the 29m high Lower Martuljek waterfall: the upper trail is gently sloping through the forest, while the lower one start on the gravels of the stream and continues through a picturesque gorge. They both join at the waterfall. The upper Martuljek waterfall is more difficult to acces but is therefore more attractive. A thin jet of water falls on a high roch wall into a small pool. The walk to the waterfalls is a delightful tour of experiencing the wonders of nature close to the House Rivulet. From the house itself is starting point for hikes into Martuljek gruop mountains, a fierce, spectacular range which counts many imperius peaks. Behind the house you easily find many paths to other places with sensational preserved landscapes. KRANJSKA GORA Within a shooting range-3km from Martuljek lies Kranjska Gora. Today Slovenian largest and best equipped ski resort situated at 810m. Once just a small valley village with abundance of pasture and grasslands until the late 19th century, when skiing enthusiast began to flock here. The town quickly developed in to a touristic resort full of hotels and entertaiment facilieties with swimming pools, saunas, wellness centres, tennis courts and popular late night venues. Every year Kranjska Gora Host Skiing worldcup- Along Borov男a cesta we still find a more romantic older core with its traditional architecture. Worth visting Liznjakova farmhouse- 300 years old wooden house ,the only house bulid in Alp- baroque style. Still remains truth to its ethnographic origin. Today opened as a museum. WINTER SPORTS The snow covered slopes of the Sava Dolinka Valley, running for almost 11km from Gozd Martuljek to Rateče and Planica, are effectively one big piste. The main ski centres are in Kranjska Gora and Podkoren. The season usually lasts from mid- December to early March. For beginners and little children there are many easy pistes. To get familiar with the winter sport we can help you find the best Ski or snowboard coach. While the more experienced can explore the more advance playgrounds. As well is taken care for night-skiing. Croos-country skiers will love the diversity of tracks in the mountain sorroundings. Ice skaters have their own zone to have a try of finding their own style. For those who dont have the equipment, you may find plenty of rental shop around the ski area. TRIGLAV NATIONAL PARK The only national park in the country and it includes almost all of the Julian Alps lying within Slovenia. The centerpiece of the park is of course, Triglav- Slovenian highest peak(2864m)- but there are many other peaks here reaching above 2000m as well as ravines, canyons, caves, rivers, streams, forests and alpine meadows. Thr remains of virgin forests, richness of biodiversity are worth visiting. The Triglav National Park extends along the Italian border and close to the Austrian border in the north-west of Slovenia.The park covers 880 square kilometres. One of the most splendid and easy trips in Triglav National Park is simply to follow the paved road, open from May to October, from Kranjska Gora, via the Vr甬č pass to Bovec. Vr甬č pass- linking the Upper Sava and Soča valley is an amazing trip discovering the works of nature blended with history. Between June and September you can do this trip by bus. All other times own trasport is needed- be it a mountain-bike, motor bike or a car. ZELENCI Between Podkoren and Planica is a beautiful area called Zelenci with a turquise- coloured lake, the source of Sava river. Home to an exceptional range of Flora and Fauna. The Natural Reserve can be accesed via a series of carefully constructed walkways, while the observation tower provides some lovely overhead views. THE PLANICA AND TAMAR VALLEY The most enjoyable hike from Gozd Martuljek is up to Planica Valley and beyond to Tamar Valley. Just under 1km beyond Zelenci Nature Reserve, you come to the grassy lower part of the Planica Valley, the most westerly acces point into the Alps. From here, the road ascends steeply up towards the extraordinary Planica ski jumps. A short way north of the last ski jump, you re-enter the National Park at which point the road gives way to a gently inlining track- used as cross- country ski track in winter- for about 3,5km up to a lush grassy glade and the Dom v Tamarju at 1108, where they offer good food. The walk up to the top is tremendous. LAKE JASNA A popular excursion spot- about 2km from Kranjska Gora. Its a beatifilul, almost too blue glacial lake with white sand around its rim. Alongside we have litlle river Pirnica flowing. There you can relax and enjoy the view. Take a swimm and have an afternoon napp. Put your worries aside, while the Zlatorog will guard your dreams- a bronze statue of that irascible old goat- the symbol of the Julian Alp. DISHES FROM GORENJSKA Even today, local cuisine is based on meat and milk. The region has always been closely connected with cattle- breeding and Alpine dairy farming, Excellent cheese is produced here. The region is also know for its Orehova potica ( Wallnut roll) and 地ra- hot pot with rams legs and vegetables. No other region could compete with Gorenjska when it comes to the number of porridge dishes. And dont forget to try a great variety of boiled 宇ruklji. SREDNJI VRH This hamlet lies on the north slope of the Karavanke above Gozd Martuljek and is an excellent view point. There are several farmsteads from the 16th century and chapels from between 18th and 19th century, which are pained with frescoes.
