Description of objectCASA MONTECRESPOLIIn the 18th century a farmhouse of sharecroppers crowned by a dovecote, it is today a beautiful holidayhome with a high level of rural hospitality surrounded by a well cultivated vineyard and olivegrove of 2ha. Situated in the Golden Culture Triangle 'Florence-Pisa-Siena', 35 km south of Florence.It is an ideal starting point to explore the Chianti and only one hours drive from the Tirrénian sea. It is a whole year round holiday resort for people loving nature, culture and nice living. Ideal for reflection pauses and relaxation. The allocation into independent apartments guarantees at a common vacation with relatives, friends and small organized groups privacy and individual adjustments. Montecrespoli is an ideal location for private family celebrations or for small groups with self organized courses. The house Montecrespoli contains 4 apartments: The apartments 1, 2 and 3 can be rented either single, together or combined for 2 - 17 people. The apartment 4 is getting privately used to look after our guests. Apartment 1 (4+1* sleeps, 80 m˛ on ground floor): 1 living/dining room with kitchen kitchenette, 1 bedroom with double bed, 1 bedroom with double bed and 1 single bed, 1 bath room with shower and toilet. Apartment 2 (4+1* sleeps, 100 m˛ on ground floor): 1 living room, 1 kitchen with dining place, 1 bedroom with double bed, 1 bedroom with 3 single beds, 2 bath rooms with shower and toilet. Apartment 3 (6+1* sleeps, 110 m˛ on 1st floor): Entrance on ground floor, 1 living/dining room with kitchenette, 1 bedroom with double bed, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, 1 bedroom with 3 single beds, 2 bath rooms with shower and toilet. The apartments 2 and 3 could be rented combined as a separate independent section of the house for 8-12 people with private pool. Price on request. To each apartment belongs an outside furnished sitting area with terrace and pergola for individual private use. The surrounding area of our apartments: To the house of Montecrespoli are belonging 2 ha of farmland with an own vineyard and olive groves as well as a maintained child-friendly garden. A well-kept swimming pool (6x12m) with lawn and a large terrace are located in a panorama position with an exciting view over a splendid surrounding landscape. Leisure time and sports: - Visiting historical villages such as Florence, Siena, Pisa, San Gimignano and many others close by. - cycling, mountain biking, hiking, jogging, nordic walking (marked routes are nearby), swimming. - Further activities such as horse riding, playing tennis or golf courses are in medium distance available. Equipment of our apartments: High standard with carefully individual furnished rooms, traditional floor coverings with terra cotta, round arches, wood crossbar ceilings and vaulted ceilings. Partly furnished with antic furniture, every apartment has an open fireside and a well equipped clean and functional kitchen. Large bedrooms with comfortable beds. Generous and modern bathrooms. The kitchens for 6-8 people are furnished with a gas stove, a fridge with a deep freezer section and an electrical or Italian coffee machine. To each apartment belongs a private, furnished outside area with table and chairs, pergola, terrace and grill. Special characteristics of our apartments: WLAN/WIFI free in all apatments. Bring your own computer with you. To take care of our guests, the owner is present. Bed linen available. (bath towels and kitchen linen on request) Sat TV, Radio with CD-Player, washing machine available in apartment 1, apartment 2 and 3 with common washing machine. Fiano is on the way to Certaldo. Certaldo: Just a few kilometers from our holiday home, in the Val d’Elsa territory, Certaldo is an interesting ‘art city’ that saw the birth of celebrated writer Giovanni Boccaccio. After being the most important center in the whole Val d’Elsa in the Renaissance period under the Medici, Certaldo continually lost power, and with it, many of its properties. Today thanks, to its traditions and artistic history Certaldo is one of Tuscany’s most beautiful places to visit, live and work. The Museum of Sacred Art in Certaldo houses a collection comprising sacred artworks from the surrounding area.The museum is located in the historic centre of Certaldo Alto, near the Palazzo Pretorio, the House of Boccaccio and the Saint Jacopo and Filippo Church. The town hosts several festivals a year. The largest and most famous is Mercantia, a week-long party in Certalo Alto. It involves numerous street performers from across Italy and Europe. 'Mercantia', defined Medieval theatre - festival - market, is the most symbolic cultural festival in Certaldo and one of the most significant meeting-places in the Tuscan and Italian panorama of the festival dedicated to the theatre. It's famous for the originality and peculiarity of its form. Born in 1988 by enterprise taken by the Commune of Certaldo, it develops every year in july (third week), animating - for five nights on end - the streets and the squares of the Medieval Village, Certaldo Alto, with the magic of the 'Teatro da Quattro Soldi'. Jugglers, clowns, puppeteers, acrobats, fire-eaters and fakirs, magicians and musicians, with groups and artists coming from every part of Italy and abroad live together with craftsmen, who work lively, involving people into a show 'without interruption'. Casa Montecrespoli is located close to the wine road of the Florentine hills. This area is the whole area around the Tuscan capital Florence to which 18 communities are belonging. Certaldo, Montespertoli, Tavernelle Val di Pesa, Barberino Val di Pesa are some of them and quite close to our holiday home. The Chianti Colli Fiorentini is classified as DOCG-wine. These towns are not only famous for the production of wine, they offer a variety of art, cultur, events and not to forget the restaurants. Furthermore this area is the home of the famous Florentine family Antinori, whose wine-cellars are famous byond the bounds of Italy.
