Description of objectCasa Luisa is a charming detached stone cottage with comfortable accommodation for 6 guests and which has recently been restored to a high standard. It is attractively decorated and maintains all typical features such as wooden floors and walls upstairs and beams throughout. Casa Luisa is suitable for year round holidays as central heating is included in the rental price.The cottage comprises a fully fitted kitchen/dining room, living room, entrance hall, shower-room, and a double bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with doublesink, washing machine, 4 burner gas cooker with oven and grill, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, coffee machine, cutlery, crockery, etc., table and 6 chairs. A unique feature of the kitchen is an antique stone bread oven. The living room is equipped with 2 sofas and 2 easy chairs, coffee table, lamps, TV, DVD with a seletion of films, books and board games. There is an understairs cupboard containing iron and ironing board, cleaning utensils and a vacuum cleaner. Upstairs are 2 double bedrooms (one with twin beds) and a complete bathroom with jacuzzi. All bed linen and towels are supplied and the cottage is cleaned and linen changed once a week. Also available is a cot and high chair. Outside is a sheltered terrace with barbeque, garden table and 6 chairs for dining 'al fresco'. There is a pretty garden and a garage where the bicycles (for guests' use), tumble drier and cothes lines are located. Unfortunately Casa Luisa is not really wheelchair friendly as there are three steps between the kitchen and the living room, and guests with limited mobility may also find it difficult. Non-smokers are preferred and children and pets are welcome. Casa Luisa is available to rent for short breaks (min. 2 nights) at 75 Euros per night, or for weekly rents at 500 Euros per week. A welcome pack is included for all rentals. A deposit of 25% is required upon confirmation of your booking, or the full price to be paid if booking within 60 days. A deposit of 200 Euros against breakages to be paid on arrival. Location of objectCasa Luisa is a detached cottage with garden and land of 2000 sq.mts. located in the parish of Larazo, an attractive rural setting with lovely views across the valley. Also close by is a local tavern with plenty of local colour and where the landlady will prepare meals to order (great 'tortilla' and 'currasco', a typical barbeque).The village of Vila de Cruces is 4 kms away and stratigically placed in the centre of Galicia, and there you will find all the shops and facilities that you may require. Please bear in mind that this is rural Galicia and ideal for relaxing and enjoying the local way of life, and yet it is not far to the monumental city of Santiago de Compostela, approx. 50 kms away. Santiago (SCQ) is also the closest airport (40 kms) with flights from all major European cities, including direct flights with Ryanair. The lake of Portodemouros is only 1 km away and is the perfect place for swimming, fishing, canoeing, sailing and rowing. We have various boats available, but please enquire about conditions. The countryside here is great for nature-lovers, bird watchers, cyclists, and hikers with plenty of quiet country lanes and variety of wildlife, plus there are many natural beauty spots and ancient monuments to visit. Galicia is a totally different part of Spain - it is beautiful, green, has a mild climate and wonderful seafood and 'ribeiro' wine!
