Description of objectThe Casa Simão is a recently bulid house, which is rented the top floor of it, and with two fully furnished spacious bedrooms in a spectacular villa are located on the sunny south west of the island, overlooking the sea and Estreito da Calheta with its many banana plantations, the perfect place to enjoy your holidays. The fully equipped open plan kitchen has a microwave, fridge / freezer and coffee maker The spacious open plan lounge has a corner style suite with a folding out bed, cable TV dvd/cd player and the large patio doors give access to the balcony, surrounded by a stunning view .The bedroom 1 has a double bed , in bedroom 2 a double bed, fitted wardrobe, unit and mirror; the terrace can also be accessed from the bedroom patio doors. There is a washing machine, iron and ironing board. The fully fitted bathroom has a shower, mirror with power points for shaver and hairdryer. The apartments can sleep up to 5 persons and is the ideal base for exploring this beautiful island. It has a shop and coffee bar 100m away, a mini supermarket 800m and a 10 minute walk to the near by hotel and 5 minute drive from calheta village with beach, marina, supermarket, hotel, restaurants and shops, with a 5 minute drive to the nearest lavada walk.

Town: Portugal, Calheta, CalhetaFounded in 1572, the parish of Arco da Calheta is set between the mountains and got its name from the surrounding hills and its proximity to the parish of Calheta. After the discovery of the island this parish was one of the first to be submitted to huge agricultural explorations, giving origin to extensive lands with noble houses, chapels and cultivated areas. Arco da Calheta has currently around 4,000 inhabitants. Its economic activities include agriculture and cattle breeding, wood sawing, carpentry, blacksmith’s workshops, bread making, blocks manufacture, trade and services. The busiest time of the year is the 7th and the 8th of September when the parish celebrates its annual procession and a fair to honour the patron saint São Braz.
