If you like character and space in a property you will love this Luxury 17th Century Farmhouse as it oozes with charm and character.

Living Room

The large lounge has a 17th Century granite fireplace with log burning stove, original pot-oven, and the original granite sink have been kept as features. Comfortable suite with dining table and chairs, TV for watching DVD's or Video's which are provided. Original oak beamed ceiling.

Kitchen

Kitchen is fully equipped with full sized cooker, fridge, crockery etc and cloakroom to the side with washing machine, iron & ironing board.

Hallway

The main door leading from the garden enters onto a beautiful hallway with stone flagged floor and walls made out of wattle and daub as original features.

Landing

There is an oak sweeping double staircase, one which leads to the interconnecting door into the cottage and the other sweeps up to a spacious and airy light landing.

Master Bedroom

The master bedroom is very large and has a king size bed, a feature fireplace and a walk-in wardrobe, there is also a double bed settee that can sleep 2 people. The bedroom has beamed ceiling and oak floorboards that have a gentle slope on them but this just adds to the character of the room.

Bathroom

Off the landing is the bathroom with toilet, sink, bath and shower over the bath. Beautiful natural limed oak beamed ceiling and oak floorboards.

Bedroom

Second bedroom is downstairs and is situated off the hallway, this is a large pretty, cheerful double bedroom with white iron bedstead.

This third bedroom has a single bed, futon bed and chest of drawers.

The second bathroom has toilet, sink and power shower.

Garden

The tranquil garden is enclosed with a feature archway and overlooks adjoing field. There is a flagged barbeque area with brick built barbeque, patio chairs and table. There is pebbled and grass areas for sunbathing.

Location of object

Situated on the Charente Limousin border, otherwise known as the 'Lake District' of France. It is also classed as being in the Haute Vienne and Poiteau Charente area.

The area has an abundance of Lakes, Churches, Chateaux, Forests, and Medieval Towns, ideal for walkers, cyclists, horse riders, sightseers and fishing enthusiasts.

Most of the Lakes around have man made beaches and are safe for swimming, they generally have changing facilities and cafe.

Limoges airport is only 20 minutes drive away. Flights are generally with Ryanair and fly from Liverpool, East Midlands, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Edinburgh, Stansted, Luton.

If you are travelling by Ferry - L.D Lines have reasonable rates from Dover to Bolougne or P & O from Dover to Calais.
