Description of objectSelf catering accommodation in our renovated cottage in the quiet village of Bodony. The cottage sleeps upto 4 adults and has parking for 2 cars. Extra children's beds can be arranged to sleep up to 6.
The accommodation consists of a modern kitchen diner with cooker, microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle. All cutlery and crockery is supplied for our guests along with equipment for cooking. A washing machine is also supplied for our guests convenience. There is a newly fitted shower room with W/C and wash basin which is bright and pleasant.
The bedroom is decorated in a traditional Hungarian style and has twin beds, storage and original wooden roof beams. We supply towels and bed linen. Towels are changed once during each week.
The large living room has a wood burner for cold winter nights, and a large settee which converts into a double bed. The living room also has space for an additional 2 camp style single beds for children. There is a large wardrobe and chest for storage. The room is also decorated in a traditional Hungarian style. There is a TV which receives some free to air UK television channels.
The large garden with climbing frame and fruit trees is fenced all the way around and so is safe for even small children to play in. There is a BBQ area with a pit and seating for great summer barbies and there is also a large covered terrace for relaxing with a book and taking in the great atmosphere. We have a number of different fruit growing in the garden including cherries, apples, blueberries, grapes and even peaches. If you are fortunate enough to visit at the right time of year help yourself to whatever is ripe! We also have a vegetable garden with organically grown Beans, Peas, Onions, Carrots and Strawberries. If your having a barbie why not pick some to compliment your meal!
Location of objectThe area boasts hundreds of small wine producers and vineyards cover the countryside , so a trip to one of the local cellars is a must. The area is a beacon of local culture with regular events and shows demonstrating the ways of the local people both old and new. Concerts, dance festivals, local crafts, horsemanship, painting exhibitions and even an annual hill race up into the mountains. Mountain biking and walking are popular in the area as well as horse riding. We also offer adventure activities such as motorized paragliding, balloon flights and quad tours for those in search of a thrill.
Northern Hungary is famous for the great number of natural springs and geo thermal spas and baths, many of which are believed to have therapeutic properties. The newly built thermal spa at Egerszalok has become our most popular trip with it's mixture of pools and saunas and slides. A large number of people travel from all over Europe to test the waters of Hungary. After a long day riding there is nothing better than a soak in the thermal waters or to have a relaxing massage.
