Set in the grounds of a restored gothic revival castle, on the shores of Lough Meelagh in a romantic and breathtaking location.

The house consists of two double bedrooms, one single bedroom. It contains a kitchen/dining room, drawing room and two bathrooms. Satellite TV is available in the house, and the kitchen contains all modern facilities.

The castle is a few minutes drive from the award winning village of Keadue, and a short walk to the village of Ballyfarnon. The beautiful, riverside boating centre of Carrick-on-Shannon is a few minutes drive.

Many historical tourist related centres are within a short drive of the castle.

Kilronan Castle has now been restored to a luxury 5 star hotel with a wellness center and swimming pool. The castle contains fine dining rooms and luxury bars. It is a few minutes walk from the house.

This is the region from which the artists, poets and musicians emerged including Kavanagh, Yeats, McGahern, O'Carolan and Percy French. It is the cradle of the establishment of the Gaelic League which did so much to restore the cultural life of Ireland.

The seaside resorts of Strand Hill and Rosses Point are within 30 minutes drive. And Galway/Connemara within 1 hour.

Kilronan can be reached in less than 2 hours from Dublin.

2 Hour drive on the N4 road from Dublin which is mostly motorway and dual carriageway to the town of Carrick-On-Shannon and a short drive through the villages of Leitrim and Keadue to Kilronan Castle.

Town: Ireland, North-West, Ballyfarnon

Nearest large town Carrick-On-Shannon, 15 minutes drive. It is Ireland's premier boating center on the upper river Shannon.

Close to the beautiful lough Key forest park, with its many beautiful islands on the river and boat trips. It also contains Ireland only tree top walkway.

Kilronan is surrounded by many fine golf courses within a short driving distance.

Saint Patricks Church contains the local heritage center which provides a historical backdrop to the history of this area.

Ireland's famine museum at Strokestown House and Gardens is a further short drive.

Traditional Irish music is available in many of the pubs in the area.

This is a beautiful area for walkers and fishermen.
