Town: France, Mountain, Bagneres de BigorreThe spa town of Bagneres de Bigorre is renowned for the healing spa waters and is in the foothills of the Pyrenees. With fantastic views and a river flowing through town it is a very pretty location. The town has a lively Saturday market for buying fresh produce of the area and there are a host of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. Close to the largest ski resort in the Pyrenees and other attractions such as Lourdes, Garvarnie, the UNESCO world heritage site, it is perfect for cycling, walking, golf and a range of activities. The Tour de France passes this way each year and had a stage finish in town this year. Within easy reach for day trips are Toulouse, Carcassonne, Biarritz and the Altantic coast and Spain
