Description of object

Comfortably furnished gite for 6 people with 2 bedrooms, shower room and open plan living room. The pretty main bedroom has French doors opening onto a balustrade and the twin bedroom is suitable for children or adults. A cot and highchair can be provided. The open plan living area is well equipped with satellite TV, DVD, CD player, books and games. There is a comfortable double sofa bed. the kitchen has a large fridge freezer with ice and water dispenser, gas hob and oven, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a toilet downstairs. Outside there is a table for al fresco dining and a BBQ. Private parking and storage for sports equipment.

Location of object

The gite is within walking distance of all the amenities of the town but as it is opposite woods the location is quiet. Bagneres is near to many other attractions that are worth visiting such as the sanctuary at Lourdes, Pic du Midi observatory, Cirque du Gavarnie, a UNESCO world heritage site and many trails including the GR10 and Chemin de St Jaques de Compostelle.Pau is a beautiful place to visit and it is easy to reach the atlantic coast or Spain for days out. Carcassone is about 3 hours away for a longer day trip but well worth a visit to the fortified old city.

Town: France, Mountain, Bagneres de Bigorre

The spa town of Bagneres nestles at the foot of the Pyrenees and is ideally located for all sporting activities and visiting the numerous local attractions. In winter the largest ski resort is easily reached by car or bus and in summer the area is renowned for cycling with the Tour de France passing through, hiking, fishing, climbing, golf, canoeing and just about any sport you can think of. The town boasts a fabulous thermal spa bath just the place to relax, a casino, swimming pool, very good weekly market and mini golf set in delightful grounds. There are many good restaurants where you can eat a range of different types of cuisine including the local specialties.
