Description of objectCasa Doris is part of a larger villa, used by the owner. Recently restructured and refurbished, it reflect the feel and moods of traditional Anacaprese architecture. The main room at Casa Doris includes the dining/living room area with lounging chairs and the dining table, a double-bed sofa and a foldable single bed. The smaller room includes a double-bed and armoir. Each room have indipendent entries from the main entrance. The brand-new, equipped kitchen (stovetop, oven and refrigerator) and the bathroom are adjacent to the larger room. A small garden for guests exclusive use is accessed through the kitchen area. The laundry machine is conveniently located there.
Location of objectCasa Doris is located on Ceselle Street, right accross from villa Il Rosaio, built and owned for a number of years by the British writer Graham Green. As in the past, this area of Anacapri is perhaps one of the very few areas where silence and quiet is a reality. A number of prominent figures from the Italian national scene make this area their summer vacation stop.
The area is on a descending slope so that there are no panoramic scenes of the seaside; this however is compensated by the typical tropical luscious-green vegetation that abounds. In addition to being able to calmly walk admist the countryside, the distance to the seaside at the Blue Grotto and any unknown bathing spots is only a short walk away. Nearby, there are also stops for the Blue Grotto and the Faro di Punta Carena, another must see in Anacapri.
Town: Italy, Capri Island, Anacapri Traditionally, lesser known than the town of Capri, Anacapri occupies the upper part of the Island and proudly boasts having the Blue Grotto within its township borders. An ancient town, dearly loved by Emperors especially during the Roman Empire (a number of ruins still stand of which Villa Damecuta is perhaps the best known), its architecture still reflects the presence of the Moors in the Middle Ages. Enchanting and quieter, Anacapri is preferred by vacationers longing to relax amidst quiet and silence.
The town offers quite a few choices of fine foods.
