Description of objectThe apartment is on the ground floor of this 3 floor house on the beach, few meters from the seawater,it is located on the borderline between Castellamare del Golfo and Alcamo Marina. The beach is sandy. The apartment has three bedrooms: 1 double, 1 with three beds, and one with 2 beds (bunk beds). One kitchen, one bathroom,one living room, big terrace on the Sea Front (approximately 35 square meters)and big terrace on the Street Side as well.Private parking inside the gate of the house.
Location of objectALCAMO MARINA is a good starting- point to visit Sicily thanks to its position between Palermo and Trapani. It’s well connected with free motorway. Alcamo is near the main airport: only 30 KM from the airport of Palermo ( Falcone- Borsellino). Near Alcamo Marina you can visit: Segesta with its greek temple and amphitheatre ( in summer there are also shows), Scopello with its famous rocks on the sea and its beaches, the ZINGARO ( a mediteraneal natural Reserve), the EGADI islands (FAVIGNANA,LEVANZO,MARETTIMO), the isle of MOZIA ( an important archeological place), ERICE a charming and characteristical small town on the top of mountain, SELINUNTE, TRAPANI with the suggest saltworks with the windmills, GIBELLINA (open air modern art museum), MONREALE with its famous cathedral, and of course you can easily visit our first sicilian city PALERMO (45 minutes by car from villa giovanna) with its numerous historical buildings, museums, churches and with colours of his markets. Moreover nearby Alcamo you can benefit from the THERMAL SULPHUR WATER. If you want explorer other famous touristic places, you can visit CEFALU’ (less than 2 hours by car in free motorway from Alcamo Marina), AGRIGENTO (about 90 minutes), TAORMINA, CATANIA, SIRACUSA ETC. Of course you can ALSO INDULGE IN THE PLEASURE OF “ LA DOLCE VITA” with the typical good sicilian food ( pasta finocchi e sarde, cannoli, arancini, cassata etc), the dairy products expecially cheese and “ricotta”, our local wine BIANCO ALCAMO ( D.O.C. WINE). To get there: Fly to Palermo airport then take free motorway for about 30 km. Railway from Palermo to Castellammare del Golfo.
Town: Italy, Near Scopello and Zingaro Natural Reserve, Alcamo MarinaThe house is 5 min away from Castellamare del Golfo: ancient lovely town with a Castle on the Sea and a beautiful touristic port full of bars and restaurants.Beautiful is also the view on the port and the Gulf from the Hill: Belvedere. Also the town of Alcamo is about 6 km away. As described below plenty of touristic activities both for beaches and monuments can be found 10-15 minutes from the beach house (e.g. Scopello High: tiny ancient village with its Baglio and famous for its special bread and dressing 'pane cunsato' ,must be tried. Also Scopello on the Sea famous for its clifts and where Hollywood movie stars Brad Pitt, George Cloony, Julia Roberts and Catherine Zeta Jones have recently shot the film Ocean Twelve.
