Description of objectSUPERB SELF-CATERING COUNTRY COTTAGES (GITES) IN THE HEART OF THE LIMOUSIN ‘PARC NATUREL’.These 2 cottages with original oak beams and panelled walls is the perfect place for a relaxing family holiday in the peace & quiet of the Limousin countryside. LE FOUR AU PAIN (The Bread Oven) The master bedroom has within it the old bread oven –hence the name of the cottage – and there is a further double and twin bedroom. Add to this a fitted, newly equipped kitchen, large lounge/dining room with comfortable leather furniture and huge dining table and chairs you’ll see why this is the place to base your holiday. LA MANSARDE (The Attic Rooms) The large family bedroom has a double and single bed and is complimented by a quality double sofa-bed in the spacious living room, making this cottage suitable for up to 5 people. These 2 rooms are upstairs uner exposed wooden beams, while downstairs the famly-sized kitchen/diner is fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. We are pleased to welcome families and can provide cots, highchairs etc. where required; children’s games, videos and DVDs are available in the cottages. Garden furniture and a barbeque are in the large garden for your use. Location of objectThe area is known as the French lake district and Treignac boasts a fine lake with a safe beach for even the youngest bathers and many water sports for those slightly older!The area is renowned for walking with dozens of marked routes - from just a gentle stroll around the local chateau to serious hiking across forested hills. Wildlife abounds in the fields and woods surrounding the cottage – deer, foxes, badgers are regularly seen and wild boar (sanglier) have been heard in the woods (but not seen!). Town: France, Treignac, AffieuxWe are 1 mile outside Treignac, the medieval village voted one of the most beautiful in France. The bakers, butchers, greengrocers, bars and bank are only 5 minutes away by car or a 20 minute walk through the woods.
