Description of objectThe gite is perched on a hill and has stunning rural views. There is an octagonal pool and a terrace with table and chairs, a great place for an after dinner drink or drinks!There is a barbeque and sun loungers for around the pool. The villa is one of the few houses in a small hamlet (Breuilh) with friendly neighbours both English and French around. Whereas it is completely private with no-one overlooking it, it is not isolated. It is less than 1/2 km from the village of St Victor. Brlliant restaurants in he area. You can eat at a superb restaurant in St Victor and then walk home. Thev nearest bakery is in St Meard de Dronne. There is parking outside the property. There is a large garden laid to lawn at the rear of the villa. Each renter is required to sign a booking form which will be sent by email. The deposit of £150 per week is payable upon booking. Balance of funds, together with security deposit, is payable 8 weeks before arriving. Location of objectThe La Donne Vue is situated in the Dordogne area of Aquitaine in the Green Périgord. There are four Périgords; the "Périgord Vert" around the town of Nontron and Riberac; the "Périgord Blanc" situated around the regions capital of Périgueux; the "Périgord Pourpre" near Bergerac, which is a wine region; and the "Périgord Noir", it is situated around the town of Sarlat.The Green Perigord is well known for its chateaux, churches, Bastides and cave fortresses. Périgord is the cradle of the European civilization. Many vestiges from the past could be found here. Visit our towns, market places, pedestrian streets; sit in out cafés and taste the traditional cuisine famous around the world. We recommend that you spend some time in Périgueux, Bergerac, Brantôme, Montagrier, St Astier, Riberac, Saint-Leon-sur-Vezere, Conclat, Saint-Jefm-de-Cole, La Roque-Gageac, Issigeac, Eymet, Mareuil, and Sarlat. Town: France, perigord, st victorA short drive there is the medieval town of Brantome where it is a delight to walk around the remarkable and ancient abbey founded by Charlemagne (742-814). With its soaring campanile this is one of the most elegant medieval and Renaissance buildings in the Dordogne, complete with caves used by the monks as kitchens and cellars.The town sits on a bend of the river Dronne and a stroll along the riverside is an unforgettable experience. Loads of brilliant restaurants complete the experience – you will come back. There are also boats trips available. St Victor is situated 4 miles away from Montagrier. There is a VTT (Mountain Bike ) hire point located in Montagrier and another in Riberac, very closed to La Dronne Vue the village of Montagrier sits down on the hillside dominating the Val de la Dronne, overlooking the green valley of the river Dronne. Besides VTT hire, you can practice some canoing in both local river and in Lake Jemaye in the Double Forest. Other types of watersports and related activities can be practised here. There is also the chance to try some rock climbing. Montagrier is 3km away from Grand Brassac and just 1km up the hill from Tocane St Abre, it is a beautiful village to walk around; it has a ancient church. There is a popular bar shop and restaurant near the church, quaint and modestly decorated, but with a good selection of dishes. Tocane, in the heart of the Perigord vert, is famous for the pétanque competition al fresco, fishing, outside cinema, and the not to miss Saint John's night in June 24th. Tocane is 10 Km away from St Victor. In July and August Tocane opens the riverside beach. Riberac 6 miles away, offers plenty of choice: there are the bric a brac fair the 3rd Saturday in August; outside cinema and guided tours in the summer; music in the street Tuesdays and Sunday night; the festival Musiques et Paroles at the end of July; the exhibition of painting in the Collégiale Notre-Dame and the Maison des Artistes both in July and August.
