Choose the direction and length of walk and we will guide you. Take time to relax. There are no televisions so you can really have time out. Location of objectVilla Arnata is located just outside the small medieval hill top village of Pesciano, 14 kms south of Todi. The 33 acre estate is on a south facing hillside with views across the tranquil Arnata valley.The apartments are surrounded by olive groves, alfalfa fields, sunflower fields, vineyards and ancient oak woods. This is good walking countryside and a walking trail, Todi, no 5, goes straight past the property. There are no through roads here but many, many tracks and unmade roads. Guided walks are available if you would like to discover the hidden Umbria. The best time for walking is in the spring or in the autumn. There are many restaurants in the vicinity which offer good Italian food. From Villa Arnata it is about an hours drive to the Lake Piediluco, a canoeing lake, Lake Trasimeno for a boat trip to one of the islands or Lake Bolsena for a swim or a laze on the beach. The largest man made waterfall in the world is less than an hours drive and the fossil forest of Dunarobba is just along the road. A day trip along the Nera valley to Norcia and then on to the high, unusual Piano Grande in the Sibillini mountains is easy to do. Town: Italy, South Umbria, TodiTodi is a beautiful medieval hill top town situated on top a spectacular triangular hill about 150 kms north of Rome. Todi was voted the best place in the world to live a few years ago and makes an excellent base for exploring Umbria.The river Tiber flows right past Todi and in the town you can find shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The town square is reportedly one of the best medieval squares in the whole of Italy and there is a natural park where you can find shade on a hot summer afternoon. Todi is host to many concerts and exhibitions throughout the year and in July also hosts the Italian Hot Air Balloon Grand Prix. The ballons can easily be seen from Villa Arnata.
