Description of objectSplendid 18th century mansion with typical Sienese architecture. It is situated next to the historical village of Basciano. The property position is ideal because one reaches the Chianti region in a few minutes or can enjoy the culture and convenience of the city of Siena. Siena offers many traditional events and is situated only 6 km away. The mansion is surrounded by a garden with oak-trees, linden-trees, cypresses and a terrace full of many mediterranean plants, where one can relax and have a pleasant stay outside. The swimming-pool is 6m x12 m and is situated on a terrace with pergola. From the terrace there is an excellent view of the hills including, woods and fields.
The Villa - Main House (4-7 persons): the apartment is on three floors. Entance is through the courtyard, welcoming you with two large glassdoors. The main room, with typical Sienese beams, is divided into sitting-room and kitchen. The sitting-room is furnished with sofas and arm-chairs. The kitchen has a table for up to seven people and includes all the necessities. When arriving on the next floor, the first room has a double bed and an ensuite bathroom. From the corridor, there is access to a full bathroom, before reaching the last room which has a twin bed. From the rooms there is a beautiful view onto the gardens of the estate. On the second floor there is a large loft with 3 single beds. In the courtyard, a table with confortables chairs and an beach umbrella allows to enjoy the open air. Outside, you can enjoy the garden, along with the swimming pool. There is also private parking.
Location of objectIdeal for country-holidays because of its excellent location. Siena is only 6 km away, Florence is 55 km away, San Gimignano is 40 km away, and Castellina in Chianti is 15 km away. Thermal Baths at 20 km from the house. There is also a bus stop 200m away, which can bring you to the centre of Siena. The nearest village, Quercegrossa, is at a distance of 3 km. Here you can find food-stores, bars, restaurants, a pharmacy, a post-office and pizzerias. The nearest airports are Pisa (1,5 hours) and Florence (1 hour). Siena's Train Station is 7 km from the mansion.
