Description of objectFrench country living in the bright and spacious first floor appartment of a winemakers' house in Marseillan, Minutes from the village centre and an easy stroll to the ports.With its own large terrace, and an imposing staircase from street level to bright and spacious living qarters, this former winemakers' house in Marseillan is just minutes from the village centre and an easy stroll to the ports. Open the period glass doors to the hallway of the main living area. Chequered black and white floor tiles, many original features and old fashioned shutters take you back in time to the days when this was the family home of one of the village's longest established wine making families. Two kitchens, one getting the morning sunshine, another for evening light, are modern and well equipped, yet blend in to the gentle informal style of the old building. The house is being renovated by the present owners, and the first floor is already a comfortable home, with space for a family to relax in comfort. Two large living areas mean that everyone has his or her own space, and the terrace is a more than 40 square metres of open air privacy. On this first floor, a light airy living room, two bedrooms, one with a double bed, another with two singles, and a seperate den; even extra sleeping accommodation with a sofa bed in the living area. Choice of dining around the traditional table in the morning room or outside on the terrace, where a barbecue offers an alternative to the kitchens on a long lazy Sunday afternoon. For a supplement - you can sleep 4 more guests in 2 extra bedrooms. Normally closed to visitors, the top floor is the perfect annexe to the apartment. Up another staircase to the second floor. This area is gradually being restored and already boasts two double bedrooms and an extra den area. Dual aspects with windows to the front and side of the house, and a fitted pantry area for preparing snacks, basic breakfasts and bedtime drinks, without having to go downstairs to the main kitchens. In the main apartment find. not one, but two fully fitted kitchens, with ovens hobs fridges, microwave and all facilities. Dishwasher and washing machine mean you don't need to spend too much time in either kitchen ... real France is just outside your front door! Location of objectOn the main boulevard leading from the vineyards to the village, and close to the centre and a short walk to the waterfront and parks.Town: France, Marseillan Village, Marseillan VilleThe house is on the principal road leading in to Marseillan, is but 250 yards stroll to the old centre of the village with its market place and countless independent bakers shops. Stroll down to the port for a night cap or an afternoon's lazing by the pleasure craft and fishing boats. Walk across the way from the house to the park, or take a stroll down to the oysterbeds.You don't have to go that far. Just a couple of doors away, the oyster farmers sell their seafood from the counter in front of the house. The tennis courts are a five minute walk from the house, and the port itself has sailing boats for rent. Hiking in the back country, lazing on the beaches across the lagoon or merely swimming from the rocks beyond the fishing boats - plenty of outdoors treats. Jazz nights in the village theatre, Moliere in nearby Pezenas, museums, concerts, sightseeing and more in the cities of Beziers and Montpellier - and lots and lots of shopping.
