Description of objectA 300-year-old 'maison de mâitre', which was built on the foundations of the fortified castle using the original stones. The house has been renovated in the appropriate style by the current owners and has central heating throughout.We have converted the second floor, wherethe domestic staff lived 100 years ago, into a cosy self-contained apartment for 2 - 3 people. The apartment has every home comfort. There is a well equiped kitchen. The bathroom, with a window overlooking the rooftops, has a shower, washbasin and wc. The living/dining room has a double On the first floor there are 2 spacious bedrooms, one single and one double, each with hot and cold running water. There is also a guest bathroom with shower, wc and bidet.French breakfast, consisting of crusty baguette and croissants from the lokal bakery together with a selection of home-made preserves,is served in the dining room oon the grownd floor or in the garden. We serve also special snack menues in the evening. Location of objectThe house is situated in a quiet little street in the old part of the village. There is a place for parking at the front of the house and at the back of the house a beautiful french garden with terasse for relaxing.Town: France, Limousin, Magnac LavalMagnac Laval is a small village in the green heart of france, halfway between Paris and Toulouse. The village is typically french with grey-roofed houses, friendly bars, shops, bakeries and weekly markets. During the season, there is a stall on the market place Sunday mornings selling fresh oysters and seafood from the Ile d'Oleron.Known for it's 'pelerinage de St. Maximins ', the longest procession in the world, Magnac Laval is an ideal point to look back in time. The medieval age is everywhere and even the smallest village has a 'château'.
