Description of objectThis beautiful, spacious and modern penthouse sleeps 6; it has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and is air conditioned. It is situated in a small picturesque fishing village called Castell de Ferro, where many families take their holiday in this increasingly popular destination of Costa Tropical, Spain. Costa Tropical is located on the eastern end of the Costa del Sol and to the west of Almeria. This sea front apartment is in a clean and safe residential block of 24 apartments, next to the beach and 5 minutes walk to local facilities. It is situated on the fourth floor, accessed by two lifts, with secure underground air conditioned car parking. The accommodation is spacious and furnished to a high standard with a contemporary modern feel. There are many excursions that that can be made by car, to other coastal resorts, such as Almunecar, La Herradura, Nerja, Salobrena or explore the small mountain villages in the Alpujarras mountains. Granada. The Alhambra Palace is only 60 minutes drive away. The nearest large town, Motril, is 15 minutes by car and has all the usual amenities of a bigger town. This is the real Spain.The apartment consists of: Bedrooms: 3 double bedrooms, 2 with double beds and 1 with twin beds, all have bedside tables and wardrobes, Bathrooms: a family bathroom with full bath tub and shower over and a shower room; Kitchen: a fully fitted kitchen with ceramic hob and electric oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine, microwave, toaster, electric kettle and filter coffee machine, plenty of cupboard space and of course is well stocked with crockery, cutlery and all kitchen utensils; Living/Dining Room: a large living/dining room with the dining area, comfortable corner sofa and coffee table, TV cabinet with TV (English Sat TV, free view channels), DVD player and small stereo; Step out onto the amazingly large and private terrace from both doors of the living room, from kitchen and master bedroom; the terrace has magnificent views to the mountains and sea. Furnished for dining, it also has 4 garden chairs and 6 deck chairs, partly covered for shade. The apartment is fully air conditioned, fans are also available. The name ‘tropical’ not only reflects the fine all year round micro climate but the abundance of tropical fruit grown in this area. Here you will find that the beaches are far less crowded and the coast-line line is unspoilt by over development. The mountains run right down to the sea and the coastline is typically a series of coves and promontories. There is no mistaking the totally Spanish feel to this area. Castell de Ferro is a small fishing village of narrow, winding streets clustered around a church Square. There are a couple of banks, two supermarkets, a fish shop, a bakery, post office, pharmacy, beach- shops and at least half a dozen restaurants and bars. The area is rich in natural beauty.Ski: Various sporting activities both recreational and adventurous can be enjoyed in the area, like walking, mountain biking and horse riding, water sports and skiing (S/Nevada). There is skiing at a world cup resort in Sierra Nevada from November to May, about 90km from Castell de Ferro. It provides excellent skiing, great shops and dining facilities in the resort and economically priced for ski passes. Information can be easily obtained on the internet and there is some in the apartment. Golf: Los Moriscos Golf Course (18 holes) in Motril is 20 km from Castell de Ferro. Information can be found on the internet and at the apartment. Santa Clara Golf Club, Otura, Granada (18 holes) is 70 km from Castell de Ferro. Information can be found on the internet and at the apartment. Most apartments are used by the owners (mainly people from Granada) during weekends or main holidays, but general occupancy is low. In this way, the area is very quiet, especially suited to those families searching for a relaxing break. The property has a huge spacious terrace of about 230 square metres with views to the mountains and sea. There are two shades areas for relaxing or outdoor dining. Local English and Spanish speaking agents on hand to deal with queries or to meet you, upon request. Transport to and from Airports can be arranged on request. As well as Malaga Airport, there are two others in close proximity - Granada (80 km) and Almeria (92 km). Car hire is recommended.
