Description of object

Madeira, the flower island in the Atlantic ocean is a paradise for nature lovers.When you are taking breakfast on the balcony, the sun greats you. It rises over the Desertas islands.
My holiday appartment Sunshine is in Canico de Baixo, a few metres from the sea and from the SCUBA diving base. Perfect for nature lovers and friends of the sea.
You can swim, dive, hike, mountain-bike, or simply explore the island.
The appartment is just above sea level and therfore in a pleasantly warm climate throughout the year.
The bedroom is furnished for two persons. A third person can sleep in the living room. The kitchen has a micro-wave, a stove with four plates, coffee machine, and a serving hatch to the living room.Radio and TV are in the living room.

In the Minimercado -nearby you can buy fresh rolls every day. For more extensive shopping, there are two supermarkets in the upper part of Canico, open daily until 22.00 hours and with a large selection of fresh fish, vegetables, fruit, etc. - or you can visit the 'farmers' market' in Funchal (specially recommended Fridays and Saturdays).

Local specialties are on offer in neaby restaurants. The restaurant ' Le Buffet' will spoil you with a new fish recipe every day. A typical and delicious dish is espada (Black Scabbardfish) with banana.
Poncha - made from cane sugar rum and honey and lemon - is a perfect night cup for some.

Take a stroll along the coast to Reis Magos
There are good bus connections to the capital Funchal.
