Description of objectThe farmhouse Dragoncello is situated in a protected area of 500ha of typical Appenine forest, a few minutes away from the centre of the small Renaissance town of Camerino, offering many artistic attractions.
This recently restored property has a restaurant, the old stable, in the separate stone-built house of the owners, where you can taste our lovingly prepared, authentic country food.
Location of objectthe immediate confines of Dragoncello, wandering among the splendid woods that surround us, you will come across one of the oldest oak trees in Le Marche – an impressive living monument, unmoving witness to the slow passing of time – as well as an ancient church from the 11th century, together with castle ruins, animals, flowers and fragrances that have remained unchanged over the centuries.
The heart of rural Italy, Le Marche has retained its taste for authentic foods, prepared with love and consumed with joy. The slow rhythms of country life teach us how to wait: to wait for the chick to become a hen, to wait for the wild boar joint to roast in the wood oven for 6–8 hours, to wait for the beans to cook over the stove for a whole day until dinner time. Thus in this wonderful land we may find lost tastes, forgotten flavours that bear witness to a world that we are happy to help preserve and offer to our guests.
