Description of objectCiesa al 3 is a beautifully restored half of a XVIII century countryhouse and the largest of our holiday houses. It comprises three levels plus a basement, is about 140 m2 and can accomodate up to 6 persons. On the ground floor, a living room with a fireplace, a bright kitchen and a balcony provided with garden furniture, which offers stunning views over the wonderful surrounding nature. On the 1st floor there are two nicely furnished bedrooms each with original double beds. On the top floor there is a garret which comprises a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower. In the basement there is a bathroom with shower and our pretty cellar with table for 8 people. Outside, a private large garden completely fenced (1000 m2), an exclusive backyard, equipped with garden furniture, a wood-burning oven for delicious pizzas and roast chicken. In our holiday house you will find as well: books, tourist brochures.
Location of objectBagni di Lucca, about 5 kms away, is a nice tourist resort, where you will find general stores, shops, and sport centers (public swimming pool, tennis courts, etc.) and a beautiful spa known during the 18th and 19th centuries as a beloved holiday or residence destination of personalities and artists like Byron, Shelley, Puccini, Metternich and Radestsky. Traces of this glorious past areto be found in its monuments: the English Church, the Catene bridge, the Spa, the villas, the Casino, etc. Enjoy beautiful walks, bicycle or horse rides on the surrounding hills, which are full of churches and Roman parishes: S. Pietro in Corsena, Pieve and San Cassiano di Controne, Montefegatesi, Casabasciana and Vicopancellorum. Nearby, Borgo a Mozzano and the Maddalena bridge, better known as the Devil�s bridge, Barga with its typical historical centre, Coreglia Antelminelli and its Museum of Plaster Figures and Emigration. Lucca (about 27 kms.), Pisa (about 55kms.) and the close Tyrrhenian coast, (or Versilia about 40kms.) offer further cultural artistic and eno-gastronomical diversions.

In this marvellous setting we have recently restored and refurbished a group of farmhouses, which have been property of our family since more than 150 years. Our houses enjoy a wonderful position on a sunny hill at 450 m. asl, surrounded by chestnuts and thorntrees, in a quite secluded place at the edges of a nice old hamlet. Clearly the result of the talented design of the young Italian architect Alberto Francini of Metrogramma, they leave no detail unattended. Exposed beams, original terracotta tiles pavements and typical Tuscan rural furniture are among examples.
