Description of objectThe chalet has been newly renovated for this season but it retains its charm and character, with wooden beams and traditional features creating a cosy and relaxing atmosphere for our guests. Our comfortable lounge room with its open log fire is the perfect place to relax and unwind.Included in our Fully Catered package option are: - Airport transfers - Welcome drinks on arrival - Continental breakfast - Afternoon tea including a fresh baked cake - 3 course evening meal - Unlimited local wine and beer to accompany your evening meal - Courtesy transfer to and from the ski lift every day Please see our website www.skichaletbansko.co.uk for more details LOCATION The chalet is just a two minute walk to the main street, where you will find a host of mehanas (traditional Bulgarian restaurants), bars and night clubs. The ski lift is only a 7 minute walk from the chalet, however we provide a shuttle service to and from the lift each day. FACILITIES With 5 spacious bedrooms, the chalet sleeps from 8 to 14 people. There are 2 family rooms, each sleeping 4 people, and 3 twin/double rooms. The chalet also boasts 4 bathrooms, all equip with powerful showers and 1 with a bath. Internet, TV, Video and DVD are available at the chalet for guests to use. On site massage therapy is also available, including holistic and sports massage. The town of Bansko is located 925 meters above sea level, and its skiing area is 2000-2500 meters above sea level. In addition to the winter snow sports Banskos’ attractions include; 120 cultural monuments, various museums, thermal spring baths, hiking, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, fishing, golf, paragliding and the permanent ethnographic exhibitions.Bansko is the supreme Bulgarian resort with an interesting contrast between the beautiful nature of the Pirin Mountains and the atmosphere of a magnificent old town. During recent years a multi-million Euro investment has been made into the skiing area to expand and improve the slopes and lift systems. The atmosphere of an ancient Bulgarian town from the 10th century combines with its natural beauty and outdoor opportunities. Situated in the foothills of one of the country's most beautiful mountains, Bansko is known as an alpine skiing, hiking and climbing centre. The alpine character of the Pirin Mountains create excellent skiing conditions for all types of skiers and experts can enjoy some of the country's best downhill skiing. The snowsport activities start in December and end in mid April with ski pistes located in two main ski areas Chalin Valog (1100-1600 m) and Shiligarnika (1700-2500 m). They are approximately 10 km above the town on the northern slopes of the Pirin mountain, and are easily accessible via the new gondola lift which starts right in the heart of Bansko. There is over 70 kilometers of piste marked area multitude of technoalpine snow cannons cover the slopes to top up the snow and improve the ski season. Bansko offers runs and tracks for all types of skiers and snowboards, and will suit both beginners and experts. For the expert skiers and boarders a vast amount of off piste area is begging to be explored, though we would always recommend taking a guide and the appropriate equipment. The fun park is equiped with boxes, rails and kickers with varying levels of difficulty. Competitions are often held in the snow park, including the Burton Pro-Amateur event.
