Nymph Bed and Breakfast is situated in the mountain village of Salakos about 20 minutes from Diagoras Airport, Rhodes. The mountain is evergreen with cool spring waters and excellent for walking and nature lovers. A great place to get away from the dry heat with balmy breezes in the evening. Get a real taste of greek food at the traditional square with its tavernas. The track for Mount Profitis Ilias starts just 50 metres from our bed and breakfast and takes you all the way up to the top of the mountain. Spectacular views can be seen at this vantage point right across the island and down to the beautiful true blue waters of the Aegean.

Salakos is approximately 20 kms from the Diagoras Airport and 30 minutes to the city of Rhodes. It is situated close to the centre of the island and is therefore a good place from which to explore the whole island, both the east and west sides. The sites of Ancient Kamiros, the castle of Kritinia and Monolithos are not far from the village. Embona with its wine tasting is about a 10 minute drive.

Salakos is situated on the foothills of Mount Profitis Ilias. The mountain is evergreen with mountain pines and cypress trees. There are many cool springs which travel through the mountain to the village and the water here is exceptionally good. There are many walking tracks up the mountain. The mountain is a haven for botanists with an abundance of herbs especially sage, oregano and thyme. There are also many wild flowers including mountain orchids and peonia rhodian which is indigenous to Mount Profitis Ilias.
