Description of objectVilla Paggi country house is a welcoming B&B situated on the hills of Chiavari, very near to the Riviera Ligure di Levante. The building, dated between the end of the nineteenth and the beginning of the twentieth century, contained some agricultural tools, such as a millstone and an oil press, that have been restored and placed in the garden.In order to mantain the very “soul” of the house and to match the spirit of eco-tourism, we decided to restore the country house following the principles of Bioarchitecture and using tecniques aimed to save energy, to respect the environment and the local traditional housebuilding. The result is a building armonically fit in the natural landscape. The house is surrounded by a garden with olive-trees and is located over a wooded hill. Villa Paggi is a comfortable, cosy, refined bed and breakfast where you can relax and enjoy your vacation, pampered by our high standard service and discreet cares. You are travelling the Liguria but not staying with us? We invite you to see the house and have a drink together. We are sure that we will have you as guests next time you come to Italy. Location of objectVilla Paggi country house is located in Liguria, 200 metres a.s.l. in the hillcountry eight Km from the magnificent Gulf of Tigullio. It is the ideal base to travel the Riviera Ligure by car or by train, and to discover nature while hiking or mountain biking.Villa Paggi is surrounded by a luxuriant vegetation, a miscellany of ancient chestnuts woods and the tipical cultivated terraces with olive trees. Thanks to the protection from the wind and to the southern exposure, the weather is mild all over the year. A few minutes by car you can find Chiavari, Lavagna, Sestri Levante, Rapallo, small towns that offer every services for the tourist, such as restaurants and shops with tipical Ligurian products. From Villa Paggi with short trips you may reach Genoa with its wonderful Renaissance Palaces and the famous Aquarium; Portofino Natural Park and Protected Marine Area; the Cinque Terre (Five Lands) National Park and Protected Marine Area, included on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. How to arrive By car: - From the Motorway A12 Genova-La Spezia get out at the toolbooth of Lavagna. - At the intersection turn right on the S.S. 225 in the direction of Carasco and follow this road for 5 Km. - On the right you will find a sign for Paggi. Turn to the right and follow the road heading uphill for 1,7 Km. - On the left you will see a large millstone and the sign “Villa Paggi”. By train: from the railway station of Chiavari we organize the Clients transport service. By plane: from the airport of Genova we organize the Clients transport service upon request.
